Toddler Classrooms

Toddlers (12 months - 20 months)

Central Christian Church Childcare Center's Toddler 1 classroom is organized for children 12 to 24 months. Our classroom teachers have organized this classroom to focus each child's energy into:

  • Motor Skill Development — tossing, catching, rolling, crawling, walking.

  • Language Development — reading time including our Share-A-Book activity and speech development

  • Music and Movement — dancing, singing, push toys and outdoor play.

  • Basic Concepts — noticing and making sense of basic concepts, such as shapes and colors.

  • Artistic Development — art and construction projects.

Our Toddler 1 classroom is set up for each child to learn through hands-on-activities and sensory-based activities. All of the activities your child will learn and be influenced by will help increase verbal and problem-solving skills. Our teachers get to know each child, learn their interests and plan developmentally appropriate, engaging activities such as painting, water and sand play, book exploration, manipulative play, small group experiences and large group circle times. All of these experiences pave the way for toddlers in their path towards lifelong learning.

All of our toddler teachers are trained in CPR/First Aid and SIDS. Each teacher is required by the state of Texas to obtain 24 hours of childcare training per year. Our toddler teachers have excellent parent communication skills. To help communicate with you, your child’s classroom teacher will complete and send home a detailed daily report. This form will outline your child’s daily activities, mood, behavior, diaper changes, meals, and nap times.

Our overall goal at Central Christian Church Childcare Center is to help your child feel safe, secure, and happy. When your child feels comfortable within our childcare center you, as their parent, can work and rest knowing that your child is receiving the best of care.
